Guidelines for choosing a meeting room

  1. Is the room square? Generally avoid long narrow rooms (audience too far from speaker).
  2. Is lighting bright and even?
  3. Are there reflective surfaces that cause glare? (Eye fatigue and reduced concentration levels).
  4. Are chairs comfortable enough for duration of time they are being used?
  5. Air conditioning controls in room?
  6. Noise issues from adjoining rooms or windows.
  7. Is staff of building easily accessible?
  8. Is there an AV specialist on premises?
  9. Is refreshment served?
  10. Is extra water, ice soda machines in convenient location?
